Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Summer check-ins (June-August): Begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm.
  • Off-season check-ins: Begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm.
  • Check-out is by 10 am.
  • Early arrival or late departure is not permitted.

  • Electronic entry.
  • Ground level side private entry door.

Policies and Rules

  • Short stays are allowed in June. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday during the rest of summer.
  • No events allowed (including weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities).
  • No smoking allowed.
  • Minimum age to rent: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • Dogs only (unless otherwise specified in the listing). The first dog is included in the price of the rental; subsequent dogs require additional payment. Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but guests must follow local regulations. Check town websites for beach pet restrictions.
  • In response to credit card fraud risk, a valid government photo ID is required for every reservation.
  • A signed rental agreement is required. Accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of the rental agreement.

Fees and Payments

  • If you are not bringing a pet, notify the reservation team to have the pet fee removed and save $300. The first dog stays free with any summer reservation.
  • The first dog is included in the price of the rental; subsequent dogs require additional payment.

Parking Information

  • Parking in shared driveway: Up to 5 vehicles (size dependent) on the left side only. Do not park on the right side or block the entrance.
  • Golf carts allowed. Outlet available in garage.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • Bed linens (sheets and towels) are provided and will be wrapped in sealed packages and placed on the end of the beds.
  • Guests should bring paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking.
  • After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days before arrival: Full refund minus $300 cancellation fee.
  • After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival: No refund unless the dates are re-rented. If re-rented, refund minus $300 cancellation fee.
